The Curious Search for Nothing
It is viewed as failure for the senses to be conquered by the overpowering and uncontrollable force of gravity. But, I consider myself to be celebrating this privileged relationship we have with gravity through the performative photograph.
The project stems from Lao Tse's notion: 'Doing nothing is doing everything'. Embracing this notion, my practice forms a delicate relationship that explores an obsession of nothing and a force that controls everything in the universe, yet cannot be seen or touched, gravity. Through absurd actions, the terms failure and success are brought in to dispute.
